Collecting, combining, correlating data--whatever generates it, from laptop or smartphone to process control system to physical and logical security systems--is the crux of convergence today. It's evolving far beyond a definition of putting physical security devices on an IT network and as it does so, convergence opens enormous options for more comprehensive security and business policies.
